Servicing & Maintenance
Stay within the law and maintain your trailer!
Some users adhere to the myth that trailers don't require any form of maintenance. However, this could not be further from the truth. All of the following will require routine inspection and possible lubrication and/or adjustments:
- Lights and wiring
- Brakes shoes and cables
- Hub bearings
- Tyre pressures
- Axle bolts
- Break away cables
- Mudguards and body panels
Servicing and maintaining each of the above will go some way in preventing a major breakdown. This will increase the life span of your trailer and indeed its residual value.
To make sure your trailer is in a lawful and road worthy condition we recommended that you service it at least once a year for light duty usage or twice a year for heavy duty usage.
